The main cannabinoids are <strong>delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD)<\/strong>. Besides THC and CBD, more than 100 other cannabinoids have been identified.<br><br>Notably, the words <strong>\u201ccannabis\u201d<\/strong> and <strong>\u201cmarijuana\u201d<\/strong> are often used interchangeably, but they don\u2019t mean the same thing. \u201cCannabis\u201d refers to all products from the Cannabis sativa plant, while \u201cmarijuana\u201d specifically includes parts with significant THC, the compound responsible for its psychoactive effects.<br><br>The <strong>most active compound<\/strong> in cannabis is delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is known for producing a euphoric &#8220;high\u201d.<br><br>It is important to know that <strong>THC can also trigger short-lived psychotic symptoms<\/strong>, even in individuals without schizophrenia
